Tell me about your journey and how you got to where you are today.
My journey with FBT began as a client. I joined FBT’s 30 day jumpstart program in the spring of 2016 after hearing wonderful things about the training facility from friends. I had no idea what I had been missing in my fitness routine until I found it at FBT. A healthy community that supports one another to stay on track, people who love like family. When Pearla told me about FBT’s Apprenticeship program to become a coach it was the opportunity I did not want to miss. “You mean I’ll get paid to workout?” I said. I completed the program in 3 months when Pearla offered me a permanent position at FBT. The way Pearla supports her staff and clients is unparalleled to none. About a year later Pearla offered me the General Management position which I eagerly accepted. I am so thankful to be a part of such an amazing team. I also couldn’t imagine living without this wonderful community of people trying to better themselves. I joined FBT at the end of my 30 day jumpstart and never looked back.

Why do you love working at FBT?
I love working at FBT because I have a personal desire to see members become stronger and healthier. I love the supportive, enthusiastic and encouraging environment at the gym and always feel at home when I walk in the door.

What strength do you bring to the team?
The greatest strength I bring to the gym is my personal experience and perspective as a client. I have walked the walk! I remember how difficult it was in the beginning. I endured challenges and setbacks, and struggled with healthy food choices. Patience and determination are also two of my strongest attributes.

Tell me about your journey and how you got to where you are today.
In the fall of 2014, I came to FBT because a friend had joined and thought I should too. I am so thankful that I did! As a mother of three teens, I had always put their (and everyone else’s) needs ahead of my own. I soon discovered that my journey of fitness and healthy eating was NOT selfish, it was necessary. By investing in myself, I discovered myself. When I ate like crap, I felt like crap. When I worked out consistently, I saw results. About 6 months in, I was an athlete of the month, and 6 months later Athlete of the Year!

I found FBT by winning a free 30-day jump start. After the first Group Training Session, I was revved up! I joined the Back-to-School Challenge where I learned a great deal about the differences between, “what we think is healthy for us” and “what is actually healthy or a better choice for us”, and the weight loss and fitness improvement continued on.

It’s been a great experience here at FBT. One that I am thankful and grateful for and enjoy sharing with others who want to know.
