Chix & Yogo Salad

Yeah…so it wouldn’t be FBT if we didn’t put our own twist on a typical lunch dish! Hence, the name behind this recipe “Chix (Chicken) & Yogo (Yogurt) Salad.”

We typically encourage you to stay as far away as you can from chicken salad, mayo is definitely not in our meal plan! Or, sugary dried cranberries that appear in some variations of this beloved and easy, quick fix meal!

Here is an FBT approved chicken salad recipe that is great paired with lettuce wraps, cucumber boats or just on it’s own!

Ingredients:

Serves 1:

  • 3-4 oz Shredded Chicken
  • 1/4c Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4c diced cucumber
  • 0.5TBSP Dill

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a bowl, mix well and enjoy!

Why Plain Greek Yogurt? We suggest plain or vanilla Greek yogurt because they are lowest in sugar content. Since Greek Yogurt is a source of protein we want to benefit from it and not ruin it with added sugars!

Remember, dairy can be harsh on our gut- everything in moderation, even the good things!
